  • Where I’m from:

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and spent my childhood and teen years around the Salt Lake Valley. In my 20’s I lived for a year in Arizona doing student teaching and spent a summer in Guatemala where I volunteered at Hogar de Elisa Martinez, an orphanage for boys. I always end up back in Utah because I love the mountains, red rocks, and proximity to my family!

  • Family:

I am the 2nd child of 7 kids and love being part of a large family. No matter what, I’ve always got someone who’s got my back! I got married a little later in life, but 12 years and 3 kids later it all worked out! I have 2 girls and 1 boy. My girls love to sing and dance and you will always find one of them trying to put on a show.

  • Interests:

I also love to sing and dance! I first got hooked on performing when I signed up for my high school show choir and it’s been a love affair ever since. In college I participated in choral groups, show choirs, and in local theatre productions.  I also love to read and spend time in nature. When I’m not homeschooling my kids, you’ll find me listening to books and podcasts, tending to our vegetable garden, planning our next adventure, or baking yummy treats!

  • Schooling:

I graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family studies. While there I frequently volunteered with the Special Olympics and found great joy in the most loving and accepting group of humans I have ever known. After college I worked as a youth camp counselor, a religious educator, and then a software trainer so teaching has become second nature! I could not be more thrilled to help the girls discover their own voice and share it with the world!
